The Professional Class (Scene Study) with Scott Freeman

- 1 4-Hour Session/week over a four week cycle
- Audition to take the class
- It's the best scene study class I've taken. I really enjoyed taking a break from audition sides and focusing on longer scenes with a scene partner. There were so many basics I'd neglected in the rush to find work and I felt like class was a great reminder to keep my foundation solid and always start from there. I'd become too focused on quick fixes and trying to do a scene "right" rather than really investigating a scene. I found Scott's guidance and compassion in this process invaluable. If you're a trained actor, I wouldn't say Scott's class is about learning new skills, but about how you utilize them.
- Best part? His ability to zero in on where an actor is lacking or taking short-cuts and help them dig into that area. He's also incredible open and compassionate, so working with him feels safe.
- Worst part? There were a couple of students in class who didn't seem like they were ready to be in a professional scene study class. If you got paired with one of them for a scene, it could be really frustrating.
- Recommended? Yes, especially if you're looking for an in-depth scene study class where scene assignments will be tailored to your needs.
