The class meets for 4 straight days (Mon-Thur) from 9 am to 6 pm.
I've studied with MANY acting teachers over the years, and in my opinion, Larry Moss is the finest acting teacher currently alive and still teaching. The impact he has had on countless actors cannot be overstated. His attention to detail, his emphasis on script analysis, the expectations he has of his students and the inspiration he imparts, his firm grasp of technique and his facility at explaining it concisely are all remarkable. Taking his class, or at the very least auditing it, can be a career and life-altering experience. His empathy and kindness towards the students are always paramount even when he's relaying challenging information. For the intensives, scenes are assigned several weeks ahead of time, approximately 15 minutes long. He expects performance ready work, on a set, with appropriate costume, props, and dialect.
Worst part? That it had to end. That he doesn't teach more often (usually twice a year in NY for a couple of weeks each time, twice a year in LA for several weeks, Vancouver, Sydney, and Germany on occasion.) That it is very expensive though worth every penny.
